Marine Ball - New Zealand 2011

Wow, mama and dad look good. They are getting ready for the Marine Ball and dad has all his bling on - what is bling again dad...okay, never mind...mama, looks like she belongs on top of a cake and not because she is tiny - because she looks so lovely. By the way, dad picked out her dress when they were shopping...good one dad!

Here they are at the Ball. I love them so much, they look so happy together, well, they should, they have two great kids - who else will give them praise like us..hahahaha.

Three lovely ladies here - they are all crazy too - but they love me and Makayla, and that is all that matters. Plus, they have cool kids around our age and we play with them.

Here they are again with the Ambassador. He came to see my mama and told her that she was the loveliest woman their that night. He also told us that he was sad to know that we were leaving next summer. He likes dad a lot also, his office is workhorse, whatever that is and gets things done quickly and efficiently. Again, these words are too big, but dad said to mention them..hahaha, you know he is writing this - so, do you think he really tells me anything.

Lastly, here is mama, she is doing her best to look like she knows how to dance after two kids. She had to sit down after three songs, drink water and then get back up to dance...those needed breaks were all she needed to dance the night away. Until my next posting - keep safe and love ya!!!!

Halloween in New Zealand

Here is our Embassy family and friends celebrating Halloween. The Embassy had a party and all the offices had candy for us. We had such a good time and everyone had fun.

Here we are, as you can see, I was Iron Man and Makayla was a Fairy Princess, somehow, she has to be a princess, that will never end...hahahaha. I do have to say, she clearly is a pretty girl and everyone says so. Now, we all know I am handsome and take after my dad...NOT - you know I look good because my mom is gorgeous. Sorry dad!!!

Here I am showing my outfit to my friends and did trick or treating. I made out like a bandit - lots of candy - I just wish I knew where it went? I bet dad ate it!!! Or used it that night for the local trick or treaters???? HMMMMMMM?

Okay, here is my little sister, the fairy princess. We took this right before we went to the Halloween party at the Embassy.

My first play at Churton Park Elementary

As you can see, my sister likes tigers, and when I did my first play, she was there to support me. I was one of the key stars in this production. Or that is what my mama told me I was...I will see when I get older if I won an Academy Award for this!

Here I am - doing my part in the play - no jokes about my cool red gloves, trust me, I was worried that it would clash and be too much - but I made it work. I had such a great time and enjoyed it. Everyone that came to see the play (which by the way played all week) enjoyed it as they gave me tons of hugs and kisses.

Like all stars, we have to get our make-up done and of course, it takes hours, okay, in my case, just minutes, but since I am little, it felt like eternity. But, it was worth it, you can't have the glare ruining my awesome looks!!! Enjoy and until we chat again.

Snow in Wellington

Hey everyone, welcome to Churton Park and the first snow in Wellington in over 20 years from what everyone tell us. At first, we thought, well, it will come down and then disappear - but, we were wrong and as you will see from the below pictures, snow just kept coming and everything here was closed for a few days until it melted away.

This is the side yard we have here. I love the snow and flowers mixed here. This is the NZ flower, the Silver Fern - well, right now, its the white Fern - HAHAHA - I made a funny. It was and is so lovely to see the snow here and yet not be overwhelming. Dad was lucky, he was in Singapore for travel and when we called him, he was laughing at us - as he told us it was about 90 degrees there.

Well, as we could not go out and about, we invited friends that day and made them stay the night to keep them safe. We ate and laughed all day and night. I told dad he missed it and all the great food and laughs we had. As you can see, I was having fun as was Makayla who had never seen snow before, well, she did, but in movies.

Here is the front of the house, we took lots of pics while the snow was coming down to show dad when he got back - now, were sharing it with all of you.

Well, dad wanted to say sorry to all of you that have been awaiting new photos of us. He tried FB and was not to happy with it overall after several months. So although he met up with many great new friends, the hidden issues and agendas in it was not worth his time. What he will try to do eventually is have a Genaro's FB page and keep it simple. Until then, he wanted me and Makayla as you know were why this site was made - to update you with some cool pics. So, here are some pics from Easter, yes, the Embassy had an Easter hunt and we truly had a good time. As you can see, Easter Baskets are not easily found, but we had bags for our goodies. The Marine Guards and the CLO did a great job setting this up for us.

As you can see, were back - and sorry for the delay in updates - dad has been busy - and as I don't think he enjoys this thing called FaceBook as much as he was hoping - I am hoping he will stick to our blog and grow it. So, as you can see, the family went to a farm in February and had a good ole time - we saw all kinds of animals and enjoyed the lovely weather of summer in New Zealand.

As you can see, heading out to a farm with the clothes we wore was probably not the best idea - but hey, when you get good weather, you have to wear the best clothes to get cool pics. As you see here, I was protecting my little sister from what I thought was going to be a sheep backing up to POOH on her - and that did not happen. He just wanted the food in my hand, so I gave in to save my little sister.

This guy was making me mad all day. He kept on bumping into me and trying to grave my food - and to top it off, my dad helped Makayla pet him. He was clearly one animal I could have done without seeing.

And as always, my little sister showing me love as she does so often. What can you say when you have such a cool brother like me.

friend Navareth here and we all went out for dinner. What a fun night!

Welcome to KL Malaysia with us as we go with Dad on a conference and enjoy the sights of this lovely city and country. This huge building is the Petronas Towers - One of the largest in the world. Yes, we did the tour, played in the parks and water and enjoyed its shopping and food!

Can you tell that were having a blast in Napier. The weather was the same as Wellington, but was warm. I can't explain it to you, but we had such a great ride up and back. Dad took us all over the city and even to the Aquarium. We had such a fun time, we can't wait to go again.

Obviously she has not seen Jaws!!!!! When she does, she won't be kissing anything in the ocean!

Enjoyed Thailand a few weeks ago as I was there for a conference. Of course did some shopping, some new tailor made shirts. Had never been to this part, so now I can scratch this off. Next month is Samoa and the Cook Island and in June Malaysia.

Here are a few pics of us enjoying downtown Wellington. The weather is not usually this nice, so we have to take advantage of every nice day here. My Auntie Hana is here now and Todd was visiting us. We had so much fun with everyone and can't wait until more of our friends visit. Hi everyone, well, it's me Yonas, okay, I m not in the picture, but I taking the picture for dad...okay, not really, but that is my cool little sister Makayla with dad.

Hi guys, mama loves us so much, as you can see, we are always together and she is always smiling. No wonder dad loves her so much. I had a question for dad while taking the picture, that is why my hand was up. You don't need to know the question, but the answer was that he loves us all the same. That's my dad.

Okay, this was just for the picture, I put on the star while dad held me when we put the tree up weeks ago. He just wanted to see if Makayla was going to jump onto the tree and start hanging around. Nope, instead we went to the Ambassador's party and had fun.

How much does Makayla love mama...look and see...almost as much as dad and I. NOT!!!! I love my mama more....at least I keep telling her that.

Hey everyone. Well, I am growing old. Today I celebrated my second birthday. If you forgot to send a gift, late ones are always welcome. We had such a good time. Friends and family were all here for the "shin dig" and we all partied until I fell asleep. As you can see, mom dressed me for success and dad built me a playhouse for me and my friends to play in. Who could ask for anything more than my parents. I need nothing but them in my life and I would be satisfied. Hello again! Its been a while since we last chatted. Well since then, we have partied up like it 1999! Mom, why is dad writing that year? Does he not know its 2006? Whats up everyone? I am just laughing at these guys here...they took all these outfits out for me to take pictures...The funny thing is, do they really think I will sit and be that good? Well, okay, I will because Mama and my mother keep bribing me with milk. I think in the bible there is something about though shall not fool the baby? Something like that...Not like I can read yet you know. I just remember mom and dad attending the bible class in Pensacola when I was in mom's tummy. Those were some good times...I really enjoyed Sunday nights, I knew we would be eating sweets and cakes....It was like a party every week. That's why I'm so happy...all that sweet stuff I ate...how could I be sour?

Hey again, well as you can see, Nana and Papa are here with me...did I tell you that they spoil me to no end. Being a baby is so cool. I hope I stay this way forever so I can take advantage of all these cool things. But like any good thing, I am bound to grow up like my mom and dad. For some reason, I don't know what I was looking at...but whatever it was, I sure seem interested...I wonder if mom was there and I was thinking I was thirsty? Or maybe it was dad dangling a milk bottle? Who knows, all I really know is that I love my family and they love me....What more could a kid my age want...oh yeah, a clean and fresh diaper and a nap several times a day. Hello All,
Well, its been about a month since we last talked. A lot has happened to our family. As you know, dad is in Bahrain with Aunt Hanna and I miss them both dearly. Mom is here with me as usual, I can't go far from my milk machine..hahaha. But we were all together when dad attended a conference in Virginia a few weeks ago. Mom was so happy to have him here as was I. I even showed him how much I missed him when I did what I do best...Pee'd on him while he was talking to mom...that is what he gets for looking away. Well, as you can see, I am getting big. I weigh around 14 pounds...I know, what a porker right? Its all good...Mom makes me do exercises every night to keep fit as a fiddle. She is doing great too as you can see...I have a beautiful mom, so you other kids don't be jealous. Well, I have more pics to update and to write about...so stay tuned...!

Helloooooooo, can a baby take a bath without getting his picture taken around here? Now I know how Angelina and Brad feel! I was just sitting in my comfortable little spa when all of a sudden I see lights going off in front of my eyes...you guys almost blinded me...when will this end...how many pictures do you need of me...you know, I can sue...I will call my lawyers at 1-800-waaaaaaaa!!!!! He knows the guy who got OJ off...so you better watch it. Plus, I'm also nude in this picture. How dare you take these pics...and I bet they will be plastered on the web for all too see...what will my wife say one day when she sees these pics in circulation???? What to do. Hey everyone, its Yonas. I'm baaaakkkkk and do I have so much to tell you. First, I needed to take this picture...I was looking at my Aunt Hana, she has over a 100 pics that look just like this...so I guess this is the cool thing to do. My dad is with her right now in Bahrain...Hey dad...I miss you very much and so does mom....But we know you are doing well and miss us dearly also...atleast I have mom!!!HAHAHAHAHA. Now I know he's not going to buy me that car when I am older. Well, as you can all see, I'm a very handsome baby...but if you don't believe me, just look at this smiling face. What do you think? I know, wow, a movie star in the making...well you got that right. But I will remember all the wee people...like my grandma...did I tell you that I am almost her height...hahahahaha. My last two weeks in Pcola

Today was fun, I got a bath from Mom and Dad. The sink was small, but then again, I am still just a tiny baby...Dad did the holding, while Mom did the cleaning...she cleaned under every part of my body...even my stinky butt...hehehe. Thanks guys for making me smell good. This was to be my last bath in our home at 40-6 Hatch Road. I will miss my first home, but look forward to Granma's and Granpa's in Virginia Beach.
Hey, what do you know, I am smiling for once. Mom and Dad stand at the ready with camcorders and Digital Camera just for this smile...It's like having the paparazi around all the time. I wonder how much money they will get for my smiling picture...if they get a lot, maybe one with my birthday suite will get more? hahahahaha
I love my Mom, she is always holding me close and singing to me. Out of 24 hours in a day, she spends about 20 of them holding, feeding, talking and loving me. God has truly blessed me with a great mom....okay, Dad is cool too...he cleans my stinky diapers and takes good care of me also....but Mom, wow, what a great lady!!! Thank You God for my parents. As you can see, mom and dad were bored? This is what I had to endure for over 20 minutes. There are over 20 more pictures like this one on their camera....well, I was getting bored but mom fed me milk before and after so I did it. Gota love the t-shirt I have under this outfit...it say's "my mom's got milk" well that is what dad said...do you think I can read yet...and do you really think I'm typing all of this...All I have mastered to date is screaming for meals, screaming when I want to be changed, screaming when I need to burp...oh yeah, scream when I want attention...that part is fun as you should see these guys run as if there was a fire or something. Baby's two week check-up

Hey Everyone, this is Yonas, I thought I would let you know that today I went to the doctor's office for my two week check-up and wow, I have gained so much weight. I now weigh 7 pounds, 9 ounces and I grew about an inch....dude, can you believe that...I'm a porker...hahahahah. But mom and dad said they love me and as long as I breast feed, I can drink all the milk I want...and gain all the weight I want...what awesome parents I have! Well, I have to go now...I think we are going to the mall to buy some "Sean John" baby clothes...just kidding....Think Aunt Hana needs more shoes...dad said she needs another pair of shoes like she needs a hole in the head? bye!!!!!

Yonas arrives

Here's our new bundle of joy. 6 pounds 12 ounces 19 inchs long. Well, now that I have a little time to add info, I thought I would. Although Sara looked well here, unbecoming to us, she was very sick. Naval Hospital Pensacola has a rule that all moms and their babies must return to the hospital 72 hours from discharge. Why? Good question, they want to ensure that baby is not jaundice and doing well and to ensure mom has no hidden issues. Well, Sara had an issue, something called "Eclampsia." If women get this, its during pregnancy, very rare afterwards...leave it to my lovely wife to get this. I almost lost her due to how severe she had it. I joked afterwards, Yonas and dad walking in the mall picking up chicks...Sara laughed...and then hit me..! All in all, she is better now and on medication after her second stay in the hospital. All the doc's and nurses stated she could have just visited them...she did not need to re-check in...hahahahaha.

Here is little man, or as Justin call's him "Lil Nas". He is ready for the world and a trip to his home on Hatch Road. He was so good, I could not resist but to take a picture. He will kill me when he is older...hahahaha.

The hospital is really carefull. If you can see on the leg on Yonas, he has a band on his left foot. If you go near any stairwell or elevator, the hospital goes into shutdown and alarms. This is to ensure the baby does not get taken. The doors in the front of the building even close with gates locking everyone inside until the all clear is sounded. I felt safe that was for sure.

Sara's NETC Baby Shower

Today Sara had her final Baby Shower here in Pensacola and let me tell you...she really enjoyed herself. My entire staff and fellow co-workers came out to spend some quality time with us. Sara was touched by the lovely gifts, beautiful arrangements, the decorations and of course, every pregnant woman's delight....CAKE! I can honestly say, we have no room for guests now....our guest room is over flowing with gifts for this lucky baby.
Here we are as I read a very special message to Sara from Yonas. Once I finished reading this, I looked to Sara and she was crying. Touched is not the word, she was overwhelmed with the lovely words in this caring letter.

Sara starts the night off on her feet trying to keep pace with the many gifts that she received from her friends and co-workers at NEX. But by the end of the night, as you can see, the lovely mommy is smiling but plum tuckered out and sitting down. Probably wishing she had a cold one right now! The funny thing is, that after all this, I had to carry all the gifts she got upstairs to our place!!! Ouch, my back was killing me so much, that I was too lazy to go to my spinning class this morning. Or maybe it was just a darn good excuse to sleep in?

As you can see, Pensacola flowers are in full bloom. We decided to run around and take care of as many things as possible since Sara was off the entire weekend. Sunday after church we went out and had lunch and picked up her friend Aklil to attend her "second" Baby Shower! I am so glad I have a very large vehicle because all the seats were in the downward position. The love was there last night as she enjoyed playing games and just the fellowship of her friends from work. The best part was I got free Filipino food...always a plus for me.

Here we have our Bible study class friends giving Sara her first of three showers planned for this lucky woman who everyone adores. I told her to ask for some bigger toys like a bike, car and a condo so Yonas could have some things when he is older. But of course, they knew exactly what to get him. She really enjoyed her day as they played games, ate and talked about whatever you ladies talk about at Baby Showers. All I know is she dead tired but full of smiles and gifts. Enough that we have filled our entire guest bedroom. Now that is love.

Say Hello to some of our closest friends. Mike and Betty Boo are friends from Bahrain who live in Jacksonville, Florida. These two are expecting their first bundle of joy any day! Betty's due date is 9 March and we are all hoping that she holds on for a while longer...why you ask? Good question - Mikey is in the Navy and stationed onboard a ship currently underway. He is due back around the middle of the month, so lets pray she can hold on so Mike can enjoy the pain the rest of us will when our lovely wives give birth...hahaha. This picture was taken about three weeks ago while I was there for my PRK surgery. Betty and Mike as always took great care of us. The are trully our extended family and will always be. We love them and miss them always. I am still trying to get Mike to take orders to Virginia...no luck so far...but trust me, Betty is trying. HAHAHA.

What a lovely sight for anyone to see. A beautiful woman carrying a baby. Sara is 6 months here and and is just beaming with joy. Everyone has told her how lovely she looks with her little "Basketball" tummy. I have to laugh when she feels that she has gotten so fat...I keep telling her the proper word she is really looking for is "PHAT" and she just smiles. We are both so excited about bringing in our bundle of joy....As you all now, we have named him,Yonas Noel Genaro. His due date is 24 May 2006 and we will keep you all informed and update the site often to give you up-to-date information and pictures.

Pensacola Living

Well, as you can see, Sara and I look very sharp today. Sara is 5 months here and was barely showing so we decided to get dressed and hit the town. Actually, we were invited to a Phil-Am Inductee Ball. We had a great time with friends and even shaked our booty's to music of the 80's. You have to understand, in Pensacola, this was like going to Studio 54. Okay, I am just kidding, but it was a beautiful night for us and we definately enjoyed dressing up for the occassion.
